Work Where Physics, Simulation
and Hardware Meet

Hyperwave is building a team of engineers and scientists who want to work on genuinely hard problems in electromagnetics and pulsed power. If you are the kind of person who is happiest where physics, simulation and hardware meet, we would like to hear from you.

// THE WORK

Genuinely Hard Problems, End to End

Our projects run the full development arc — characterising a problem in physical terms, building and stress-testing computational models, designing electrical and electronic hardware, and validating it on the bench against measurement. Engineers here are not siloed into one stage of that loop: the person who runs the simulation is close to the person who probes the hardware, and often they are the same person.

The domains are demanding by nature — high-voltage systems, pulsed energy delivery, electromagnetic modelling, research-grade instrumentation — and the standard is measurement–simulation agreement, not plausible-looking results.

// WHAT WE LOOK FOR

The Profile We Hire For

01 // STRONG FUNDAMENTALS

Strong Fundamentals

A solid grounding in electromagnetics, circuit theory or applied physics. We care more about whether you can reason from first principles than about which tools you have already used.

02 // HANDS-ON COMFORT

Hands-On Comfort

Practical fluency with simulation tools, laboratory hardware, or ideally both. You should be at ease moving between a solver and a bench.

03 // SOFTWARE AS AN EVERYDAY TOOL

Software as an Everyday Tool

Working software and data skills — Python and similar — used routinely for analysis, automation and tooling, not as a specialist afterthought.

04 // THE DISCIPLINE TO CLOSE THE LOOP

The Discipline to Close the Loop

The habit of documenting assumptions, measuring carefully, and iterating until model and measurement agree. Rigour is part of the job description.

// WAYS TO JOIN

Three Ways to Work With Us

Full-Time Roles

Engineers and scientists joining the core team across modelling, pulsed power, instrumentation and scientific software.

Research Collaborations

Joint work with academic groups and researchers whose problems overlap with our competencies.

Internships

Structured project work for students who want real exposure to electromagnetic and pulsed-power engineering.

// APPLY

Tell us what you would like to work on.

There is no form. Write to us at support@hyperwaveinnovations.com with your CV and a short note on the kind of problems you want to work on. A member of the engineering team reads every application.
