Hyperwave's competencies span the full development arc — building physics-based models of a system, simulating its behaviour under realistic conditions, designing the electrical and electronic hardware, and validating it on the bench against measurement.

Electromagnetic Modelling & Simulation

We perform full-wave and transient electromagnetic analysis to predict how fields, currents and energy propagate through real structures. Our practice covers time-domain and frequency-domain methods, finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) and finite-element approaches, numerical stability and boundary treatment, and the translation of simulation output into engineering decisions.

We work fluently across industry-standard toolchains and build custom solvers and post-processing where commercial tools fall short.

Pulsed Power & High-Voltage Engineering

V_PEAK TARGET

We design and analyse systems that store electrical energy and deliver it as controlled high-power pulses. This includes energy-storage topologies, pulse-forming and shaping networks, switching, and the high-voltage insulation, layout and safety engineering that such systems demand.

Our emphasis is on predictable waveform delivery, repeatability and operator safety.

Embedded Systems & Instrumentation

We develop the control, timing, sensing and data-acquisition electronics that modern test and energy systems require — microcontroller and FPGA-based controllers, sensor integration, and the firmware and interfaces that tie hardware to the operator.

This lets us instrument our own systems to a research-grade standard and capture the data needed to close the loop with simulation.
